balance shaft belt replacement help

The book says that you have to pull the crank sprocket off to get the balance shaft belt on, is this the only way to do it? If so, what is the easiest way to get it off, impact? Do you have to block the flywheel or is there an easier way?

I just changed mine yesterday....you don't have take the crank bolt out....just the four 12mm bolts that hold the pulley on there. sometimes its a little hard to get the pulley off even when u take the bolts out, just use something to pry it off. then u can slide the belt in there....i took the tensioner pulley off to put the belt in there...i didn't have to take the sprocket off....hope this helps

Thanks, I've had the crank pulley off to put the T belt on, and wasn't sure if it would slide in there or not, I'll take the balance belt tensioner/idler pulley off and try to slide it in. Thanks for the help.
