I have never owned a Turbo car before and now it consumse me..
Well i got a 90 Turbo, and dang.... Lots of work needed to be done.

I had a horable intermitened squell when i revireced.

Currection: New Pads and Turned rotors.
Brake inspection: came up with good rotors, hose, master cylinder.
Bad rear brake pads becasue the rear left pads where instaled wrong.
On the back of the pads there is a little tap that goes between the pistions
slot to hold it there for the E-brake. But the pistion was turned and the pad
was tillted in such that forward travel coused it to wear that it did not like revirse.

Cleaned intercooler:
Washed that sucker out with some solivent. Also bleew out the depres with 90psi
shop air. Then took some snap on picks and straitend the fins due to impacts by oversized bugs.

Removed Silincer:
That was fun

Inspected suspinsion and now am replacing a boot. Could use some ajustables.

Coolent leak down was Great.

OMG
Presure test and leak down sad :( or good? conffusing.
1: 160psi 6%
2: 170psi 2%
3: 160psi 8%
4: 145psi 38% Leak threw intake (can feel out TB)
why 145 psi? if 38% leak?
Anyone help on this?

NEED TO DO

1: Need to temp weld 1G craked exhaust manifold tell i get a 2G and port/pollish it
also damn bolt is broke off in head.

2: Timming Belt, balince belt, w/p and seals and pullys ten.. ect.. (need timing upper cover)

3: Alternator (need heat shields)

4: Install my new 6x9 and 5 1/2 kickers and amp and deck and buy new front speckers.

More to come..

Your compression tests look really healthy, except for that last one. I beleive 125 or 135 is the factory service limit, so your still ok, but if the other ones are that good something is wrong with that cylinder. Again, I've said this before, the better the question, the better the answer.

though it should be: the better the spelling ; the better the answers will be or at least more comprehendable :p

yeah sorry about that, was foolish of me not to run a spell check. I was in a hurry, that was not the extent of my anticipation to submitting my thread because the computers were also shutting down.

But hey, are you guys/girls all nerds here to discus spelling and grammar, or is there some car enthusiast here that can acutely look past persecuting others writing skills and stick to the true point of this forum.

I did not ask your response to the extant of my spelling did I? Nor did you have to read it. So why don't you go some other place (the county library) and socialize with your friends, and let others who don't give a flying f*&^ about how I spell respone.
Thanks.

Now comes the grammar.
ROFL

How many miles does it have? It may not be worth all the work if it has really high mileage (say above 140K). It may be in your best interest to consider a JDM motor or a comparable longblock. I'm pretty sure that the difference in compression values between your 2nd and 4th cylinders is beyond spec.

Hey not a problem, continue to look like a dumbass, none of us care.

Anywho, about your car..the car doesn't sound really that bad for a DSM. When you get $12,000 into the car in REPAIRS only then you can say it needs a lot of work. I'll never see the money I've invested in my POS, oh well.

You didn't really ask anything at all....

Some place in the middel i said

Presure test and leak down sad or good? conffusing.

4: 145psi 38% Leak threw intake (can feel out TB)

Anyone help on this?

I was asking how I could have 145psi and still have 38% leak down?? I mean wouldn't that # be a lot less if my leak down was 38%.

for #2 @ 170psi when stock is some place around 164 that means i have carbon build up in that cylinder.

I have 171k on car.

Well, you're leaking down out of your valve seals, out of the piston rings, or out of the head gasket. With 171K miles, I would just drive it until it dies. Be building a motor for when the time comes. A motor with 171K miles on it is not worth working on, IMO.

depends on what you plan on doing with it. my motor had 200k+ on it when i got it and i put all my mods on it before i had the time to rebuild it. never had any problems out of it other than it burned some oil. do the timing belt seals etc then figure out what is actually wrong with the motor , fix it and keep on truckin. pick your self up a short block and build that up till you actually ready to drop it in.

Sounds good, that is my method among all this madness.

Also i said that i am getting a leak threw the intake valve... Said I can hear it out the TB.

scenes I will be so close to have the heads off anyways when I am replacing timing belt I mine as well take the head off and take a look at things.

thank you guys
