i raced my car last sunday at the track, drove it home (about a 2 hour drive), everything was fine. later that night i took it out and noticed my turbo was making a weird but very subtle noise whenever i boosted and it kept getting worse as the night went on. i eventually started burning oil (white smoke, maybe a little bit blue), especially when i was boosting (at all, even 1psi) and when i would idle after driving.
now, i assume this is just a bad turbo, but could it possibly be a head gasket? mine was replaced 15k miles ago, my coolant overflow bottle was NOT full (i hear thats a symptom of a blown head gasket). also, just last night, i went to put some more oil in the car and when i opened the oil cap, a bit of white smoke came out, is that normal?
if this post sounds like all the other "bad turbo" posts, im sorry, i searched and read them all but didnt find what i was looking for. thanks for any help!
