well i was searching on symtoms for bad piston rings and my car does none except for shaking at idle,i check compression and only 1 cylinder is low, is @ 120
can it be something else like a problem in the head ?
i get no smoke,no oil comsuption,just feels like misfire at idle

the only thing i saw is that theres oil in hose that connects to throttle body

120psi and you own a 2g, what are the rest 150ish? theres a reason why they have this chart.
Compression Pressure [01] 178 psi
Minimum Pressure 133 psi
Max. Variation Between Cylinders 14 psi

[01] -- At 250-400 RPM.

not sure,what i did ,disconnected 1 injector at a time to see if engine idle changes and all of them make engine shake to almost shutting off,so i think there good,car runs good when not at idle,in the morning when i turn it on it shakes alot until it warms up

1 cylinder=120
2=150
3=175
4=150

sounds like you need a rebuild....

Try putting a cap of oil in cylinders and if the compression goes up then your rings could be shot.

You might be able to get a bottom end built for that depending on what components you use. If you use stock stuff then you will be right around a grand.

IF that cylinder has been misfiring than the compression could be low. I see this all the time, a slightly clogged injector, or bad spark plug causeing a non firing situiation and the cylinder will read low. Once you get it firing correctly, than check the compression the numbers will come back up. I'd be willing to bet that your idle problem is probably injector or plug related.

this is very possible.

when your break it down like this its effortless to diag

concern- low compression in one cyl/shaking at idle possible slight misfire
cause- unknown maby injectors or plugs
correction-fix injector or plug issue/ rebuild motor.
its the three basic C's
