I was driving my car yesturday and for some reason when i pulled up to my friends house and put it in park it was idleing very weird. it was jumping from 1000 to 1500 and goin bad and forth. i shut it off and when i tryed to start it it wouldnt start...battery was dead. so my friend jumped me, the car ran fine but i could tell the battery was dead cause my wippers were bearly evan moving. i got to were i had to go and sht my car off. when i tryed to start it back up it wouldnt so i figured my alternator was bad seeing the battery was brand new. My friend jumped me again and i was on my way...before i could get to the end off the parkalot it was attacking ### so went down a side street then it just stalled. my friend was well on his way by this time so i had to call him and tell him to come back. he jump me again i reved the engine abit and it sounded fine, but when i put it in drive and tryed to move it wouldnt do anything, it just studdered. i could WOT it and it would just sputter at about 1700 to 2200 rpm. and when i put it back into N it would do the same thing as with P. if i were to shut it off and get jumped again i could rev it until i put it in gear then it would studder again now matter what gear i was in. If anyone knows what this problem could be plz tell me. any info would help seeing i dont have a car now..thanks

hmm the plugs and wires are brand new prolly only have like 100 miles on them...who knows

I wouldn't think that a bad battery or alternator would cause a rough idle. I've had them both before and it never did that with my car. But, for it to cause the wipers to move slow, may have me wondering. I would have to agree with Tsi_User. Try looking at the computer and make sure that it isn't shorting somehow.

I had the same problem with my 92- it sounds like your ECU is frying

Put your head down in the footwell by your center console and smell... if you get fish- it aint a hooker, your ECU is dyin....

That or just take your ECU out and check the board for any burn marks and the such.... because yeah...
