Hello all. My eclipse has had a problem with oil leaking into the cylinders since I originally bought it and possibly a compression problem (or maybe it's just slower than i think it should be, I haven't done an actual compression test yet) and I can see blue smoke on startup, so I believe it to be bad piston rings. However, the car only 70k 2 days ago and hasn't been beat on as far as I know, so I don't think the rings should be going bad already. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Is that a simple job? Or would I have to put it in the shop to get those replaced?

Depends on your level. Valve springs have to come off to replace them. Haven’t touched a 420a but that’s pretty much most engines. You’ll need some tools as well. Seals themselves aren’t much.

Well I see you posted that you resolved the problem? Would you like to share your findings with us?
