I've searched and read a ton..

But couldn't find a straight up answer. Could a bad PCV Valve have anything to do with me constantly shooting black smoke out and running insanely rich. (150 miles per tank) I know my PCV valve is bad because my dipstick popping out and oil cap leaking. but I just didn't know if it caused any other symptoms..

I fixed one boost leak that I knew of, need to do another.

Couldn't find a straight up answer to my question, thanks!

If your blowing black most when boosting then your turbo is going / done.

Check the plugs for oil too since that could cause it too.

Just order the PCV from mitsu since any auto part start OEM is still not gonna work 100% still lets some air in, only OEM from mitsu actually works 100%.

If your running insanely rich then yes that is def. a factor. I see in your profile you have link, maybe you could post a log for us to point you in the right direction. What is your AFR under WOT and what boost level? But fix your boost leaks and it's a common thing when raising boost levels that the dip stick pops out from the crankcase not getting enough ventilation. Did you disconnect the vacuum line on the side of the valve cover to the intake pipe? If you did you may want to hook it back up as that draws more pressure from the crankcase as well as the pcv valve. Until you get a new one take it off and clean it with some brake parts cleaner for now. I just seen you posted that it has black smoke at idle, could very well be your seals in the turbo, valve stem seals, rings.... How many miles on the car?

Sadly I do not have Link hooked up for now.(Wishlist) So I can't post aph for help that's why I am stumped. :( Stock boost level because I'm trying to dumb everything down and get everything maintained before I start modding but this is what's been my problem. The person before me had a breather filter on the side of the VC. is that better or worse than having vacuum lines with a catch can? thanks will do just ordered OEM PCV valve.
