Every time I take a right turn there is a grinding noise coming from sometimes the front and sometimes the back . If I take a right turn and accelerate slowly then no noise , but if I give it gas or load it makes a grinding noise ( almost sounds like a tire rubbing on something , but its not) When there is people in the car the sound gets louder and worse. I am thinking it is the driver axle because it doesnt make the sound when im just turning right but when I give it gas when im taking a right turn . I checked under the car and both control arm joints are torn but that wouldnt make a grinding noise when im turning right?

The noise.... deep Sound ,like 2 rubber/plastic rubbing together , no metal on metal.... yet.

are you sure you checked all the plastics in the wheel wells?sounds like when you turn your tire to the right its hittin against the well covers.Stock rims?

Mine did that right before my axle died. If you pull into a driveway slowly but still accelerating then its probably the axel. The other symptom i had was the steering would jerk once in a great while. If it does get it fixed immediately, it sucks to have to flat bed your car home after a shop tells you its the control arm.

well my car originally came with rs rims (14 inch rims with high profile tires ) then i bought the gs rims ( 16" with med profile tires ) but i look around and theres no symptoms of the wheel hitting the walls or anything , anyways these are pictures of my cv joint driver side , other side is exactly the same

Pictures are upside down btw

Replace those ball joints, before they kill you.

Grinding can come from ball joints, (usually while the wheel is being turned, or going over bumps) axles, (usually manifests as a popping sound, though) brakes, and wheel bearings.

okay well is there any articles on how to replace these suckers?

I will replace my driver side soon. Mine doesnt sound like grinding though, it is more like a "clank" sound every time I take a right turn. Like other people said check the ball joints. Just take it to Mitsubishi and they will look into it.
