I just pulled the oil pan off of my engine, and there was some metal shavings in the pan. I figure this is from when the turbo went out on the PO as it looks like wash from the turbo oil drain. I was looking to make sure nothing wa broken, and two of my rods move side-to-side on the crank. Is this something I should be concerned about? It has eagle H-beam with ACL race bearings and he said it is an eagle crank but I don't know how to find out if it is one. Thanks

I believe they should move a little laterally. They just shouldnt have any vertical play

Side to side movement is normal! Up and down movement is what you need to check for!

Okay, just to make sure, they move side to side as in between the SIDES of the engine, not the front/back (flywheel/timing cover) side. There is no up and down movement.

Balance shaft has been removed. What would I be looking for on the bearings?? Where on the crank would it be marked as an eagle?

Your bearing should be smooth and polished. If they look like this they are bad.
