OK i got a 95 talon tsi awd and, when i hit any large bumps it feels like my back end like kicks out then it grabs back. i don't know kinda hard to explain and im not sure whats the problem back there you can feel the whole back end like shit to the right after hitting a bump of good size. not fully sure what to replace i heard different things from different people i look around on here and could not find something similar. any ideas or help would be great Thanks.

My talon used to do that. When it rained it was really bad almost unsafe to drive. Turned out I had 2 things wrong. The inner portion of my rear tires were shot the rear alignment was way out of wack. I would get the rear end up on jack stands and inspect all links and bushings. If everything checks out take it in for an 4 wheel alignment.

Do u have cheap suspension on the back? Like from eBay or something? My buddy had a 2g talon that did that and he had cheap a## eBay coil overs an we changed them back to stock and it took care of it. If u don't have cheapo suspension, the probably needs aligned, as stated befor I would jack the rear up and check all bushing ect.

I had this problem also. My rear suspension bushings were rotted out and a suspension bushing kit fixed it. check the bushings right above your rear tires on the control arms.

i think its still all stock suspension do think the struts are going bad in the back they look like this from the top

also i did have a friend say looks like the bushings are bad now do i have to replace them all and would i have to take down the subframe to do it.

so i also should check the control arms what about axels or anything like that.

and ill be sure to get an alignment after i check everything and change what needs to be changed

U chk shocks from bottom to see if they leak.sounds like ## rear toe is out. Uneven toe will cause bump steer which is usually on the front but u align the rear first. Tires should tell u how they r wearing. If ## toe is off it will cause a sharp edge on outside edge of tire. If u have smooth uneven wear on outter edge of tire it's camber.

From the top they look brand new LOL, push down on your hatch A few times hard enough to make it move up and down an if the car keeps bouncing say 3 or more times after you stop then the struts are shot, does ride like bouncy or rough?

i did the bounce test and it only bounced like one bounce i didnt think they looked bran new LOL but ill check out some of the other things soon

I'm starting to think the struts were probably replaced and an alignment was never done.

Nearly every time you touch your suspension a alignment is required. It truly is crazy how a minor adjustment makes a huge freaking difference in camber as well as other things.

My car does this exact thing right now, bumps makes it jar to the left or right, but on smooth dry pavement it drives straight as an arrow, wet roads its all over the place like its running on the right or the left tire and the other one is slippin so it bounces between the two left to the right and back, snowy roads it ok as long as the traction is even, but you can feel its almost in a drift at all times.

When I did my shocks I noticed the rear toe is pretty extreme inwards and you can visibly see the tire is turned inwards on both sides, I was able to adjust one side to stright but the other side the alignment eccentric bolt is rust welded to the bushing I have to replace the right toe arm before I can get a proper alignment done. I've drove like this for almost a year now tires seem to be holdin out pretty good not too much wear but i'm sure its only a matter of time.

My shocks and springs are brand new so it got to be an alignment issue.

I had this issue a couple years ago when I first lowered my car on illuminas and sportlines.. Only noticed it after a few weeks in the rain. Then I checked my tires.. Brand new before, they were down to the cords on the inside of the tire.. Get an alignment. New tires, rear camber "kit" and an alignment fixed my problem.

so i actually got to jack the back end up today, and seems like the rear sway bar seems to be bad and also the passenger side upper control arm is bad as well.
