I am in the middle of my Interior Rewire and have a specific question that I think warrents its own thread.
The plug behind the OBDII, the white/clear plug on my 99 eclipse GSX, has one red wire attached to it, described perfectly here:
**the picture here shows the connector on a non turbo eclipse, which has 3 wires/pins**
From DSMlink forums:

Pin 79 is "12 Pin Connector (Drag)"
There is no more information though on the connector B37, nor is there info on ECU pin 79. Since it is my belief I never use it and the ECU couldn't use it as it is an open wire, I would delete the plug and ECU wire as part of my rewire, but I would like to hear more information on what this wire is, what it does, and why is it in my car?
Thanks in advance folks!

On my '99 GST and in the '99 Mitsu Eclipse manual, that is plug B37 which is white and located right behind the OBDII plug (B38) mounted on the same metal holder. Although it is supposed to be a 12 pin connector (pins 21-32), it actually only has 1 pin installed in it (but has slots for 12). This is pin 26 (in the corner) which is connected to a red wire which goes to ECU pin 79. This is for turbo models. The NT shows 3 wires going to it.
