Well my car is finally running but it looks like I'm leaking gear oil from my passenger side axle shaft. Does anyone know what type of seal the axle shafts use?

Or could this be a result of too much gear oil in the tranny?

Thanks again for any help. :thumb:

If it is a bad seal, get one from www.jnztuning.com or order one from RRE. Make sure to get a mitsubishi oem part. Don't go cheap on those. They do tend to fail and leak a little after awhile but, there are pretty cheap, I think $20 for both.

Is the axle all the way seated in the transmission?
Are they the right axles?
Might you have damaged the seal installing the axle?

JNZ is a great place for parts but IIRC the axle seals are pretty cheap so your local dealer is another option.

Alright, yea I'll probably go to the dealer to get a couple. Last time I ordered something from JNZ they took forever and the customer service left something to be desired.

Thanks guys.
