axle seal?

So i finished installating my transmission last night dropped the ride line fluid in and whent to sleep woke up this morning to find a puddle of redline on floor jacked up the car and the axle is in and seals are new axle also is preety much new only 1000 miles on it what could it be?

Did you tighten the drain plug?

Best thing to do is get under the car and make sure its not the seals/plug 1st...

drain plug is tightened and it is from the axle seal i have never removed one how hard is it?

Very easy if you get a seal puller. I picked one up from a local auto parts store for $10 or so.

So that goes right were the axle slides in ?

You just use it to pry out the axle seal. You'll put one of those points inside the seal and use the other to push against the outside of the seal for leverage.

I found this seal on floor during the winter when axle was out and car was on stands does it look familiar to any of you think it could be from anywhere on axle?
