awd vs fwd

I have never dealt with an awd auto only fwd autos, I have seen some things that make me believe what i am about to ask, im not just pulling this out of no where. Are any of the gear sets between the 1g,2g,awd,and fwd interchangeable?

They all share the same planetary, primary drive gear, and transfer (idler) gear.
