I have a JDM GVR4 tranny that I can switch from 2WD - AWD the funny thing is... This one has a front LSD insert. I beleive it is a Phantom grip peice or BMT insert, my question is how will this setup perfom on a daily driver? The tranny is capable of locking the VC also, and it brings up another question. If...I set the VC to lock will it act like I have a Front LSD, welded center Diff, and Rear Viscous LSD??

Chime in with any information that could forewarn, increase my intelligence, and entertain me.:D other than that any help I can get is greatly appreciated

this is my daily driver too... bear with me:notgood:

I just want to add some info on these articles and that is the new evos do have viscous couplings they are either a regular vc or an active center differential and also the switchable transmissions will not let u go from fwd to awd it will only let u pick from having a regular vc or a locked vc either way u will still be in awd to change to fwd u also need the switchable transfer case
hope this helps someone

I'm having some difficulty parsing your post. Are you really saying that some new Evos have a center VC, instead of the ACD?
