Ok since my car hasnt moved in a while(been sleeping for the winter). I just decide to check the fuel pump to make sure its a 255, thats what the guy said when i bought it off him.

Well no its not.......its stock! And on top of that I bent the feed line and cracked it....i feel really stupid right now. :notgood:

Where can i find a unit for cheap? I just need the assembly, no pump. Any sites out there that sell them for cheap ?

On a good note, i cant believe i ran 12.47 at 20 psi on my stock pump and didnt blow the thing up. ROFL

I know it doesn't help much now, but keep browsing eBay. Every couple weeks I see them go on there. Brand new units but they are a little pricey. Have you priced a new one from the dealer?

I saw your post on Xceed, I'll let you know if I can come up with anything. :thumb:

Havnt priced one from the dealer yet, but i probably wont either. I read a post on here that they were somewhere around 400 bucks OMG But yeah if i dont find one, ill just end up driling the line out of mine and putting a bulkhead in it, and run some ss fittings. :thumb: Thanks for helping though.

Well my friend did this the first time. We let it air dry and then welded it all the way up. I have one out of my totaled 92 awd to replace them it was 210 on ebay

Yeah im thinking about cutting it down to the lid, then just welding on a tube to the lid. Then just using a rubber section inbetween. How safe is this ? I would assume that its gonig to see pressures up to 75 if i run some high boost. Will clamps really hold that much pressure ?

92 talonTSI - Sorry man, that is to much for my blood right now. I dont have a job. HAHA

You could try something like this, way cheaper & an upgrade to boot! :thumb: http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=220842 Good luck!

Thats a good idea, I thought of doing that. But then I looked under the cover, and the way the bracket is on the cover its not flat under there. Where i would drill through for the bulkhead, its going to be hard for me to seal a nylon washer. Im just thinking of cutting off the old tube from the cover, then having somebody weld new tube on top, same size as stock, then use the factory flare fitting. PAIN IN MY ARSE!!!!!

Mine actually is probably the same as yours, the bracket has a c-shaped slot where the tube goes through on the inside. The bottom nylon washer probably doesn't seal, but the top one does. ;)

Yep your correct about the little c shaped notch under it. I wasnt even thinking about the upper washer sealing, hahah DUH!!!

I found an assembly over here at a local Junk Yard. Got it for 15 bucks. This one has a new line in it, fed from the stock connection all the way down to the pump. Seems like its a good set up, i just have to make sure that the hole where it goes through is sealed up good. Ill just take some sealant to it, or jb weld. Heres what i bought for 15 bucks. What a deal :thumb:

Thanks guys for all your help. And if this done work, ill be doing the SS Fitting route. :D
