I have a '90 gsx manual. Bought it used and i have been tinkering for awhile. The tranny was out when I picked it up. I have since put it back in the car, but only the very top two bolts of the bell-housing-to-block are lining up but they are COMPLETELY stripped out. I am also missing the starter plate. It looks like a bolt would go from the tranny side, through the bell housing into the front motor mount/bracket. But that section just happens to missing from the bracket with a pretty clean section that looks like it might have been cut. Is that hole in the tranny for the flywheel check/shroud or am I right in thinking the bracket has been cut? I'll post a picture as soon as I'm home.

40 hits, three days and nothing? Ouch. I figured out that my bolt hole in question is a starter plate bolt hole, and the engine mount bracket is supposed to have a curved notch like that.
