awd chirping

i have a 94 eagle talon tsi awd wen u dump the clutch and floor it incoming off the line my front tires chirp alittle if its awd why is it chirping is there something messed up somewhere or wat help me out

just because its awd doesn't mean it won't chirp the tires. if you have enough torque most cars will leave a good size 4wheel peel. if you don't want it to chirp maybe get some better tires. please, if you like your car DO NOT DUMP THE CLUTCH.

When you launch a car, the weight of the vehicle transfers to the rear wheels.

Which means the front wheels have a reduced amount of weight being put on them.

You need to reduce the amount of rear weight transfer on launch. The stock springs/shocks are inadequate for any sort of performance driving. You will more than likely need to upgrade them.

Good Performance oriented tires will also improve your launches/spirited driving.

Try slipping the clutch, instead of dumping it. Your drivetrain will thank you.

yea i know now not to dump the clutch i was used to racing hondas that u can dump the clutch at a high rpm but now i slip the clutch. but yea thanx guys for that information i thought there might have been something wrong wit the transfer case or something

I do. I think of it as bettering the forum throuh policing ourselves.

But im also deployed in AFRICA right now. So i really dont have much to do. But since your hondas do not come awd, then you wouldnt know of course, since you've been racing so much. But yes if you abuse your car, tranny, and motor, your 11 year old dsm that you just bought will chirp the tires due to you not replacing the old worn out shocks and springs with newer, more adequate parts. Don't do it unless yuo can afford clutches, flywheels, and possibly trannies and diffs.
