AWD auto Trans going out.

Well as the title states, my Auto is starting to go out. It slips into neutral alot, at random times(the fluid is fine). So im going to save up to do a 5 speed swap. I was wondering a few things.

First of all I've found a couple of awd trannys, tigerjapanese.com/
I also herd that you have to swap out the rear diff, is that true.
I have searched many times and just haven't found everything I'm looking for.
I was just looking for some feed back and a good site to lead me threw this. Any links to like a wiki or vfaq would be great.

A parts list would be great. Thanks.

I had that happen on my car early on. It went away after I upgraded the end clutches. It would start to rev as if in neutral. Cheap fix and you don't have to drop the tranny to do it.

You do have to change the rear diff if going to manual tho.

This is the same problem I'm having. I'm also going to go along the lines of cleaning the valve body, new solenoids (CEL for them), a shift kit and end-clutches. Hopefully that fixes it so I don't have to rebuild it.
