I have a 92' GSX. I was wondering about how the viscous coupling diffs work on this car. I was under the impression, becuase of the sticker in my door jam regarding the diff system, that on this car either all 4 wheels turn at the same speed or none turn at all. I was removing the driveshaft on my car the other day and when I was done, I decided to play with the rear diff while I was down there by turning the flange on the diff that the driveshaft bolts up to. What I noticed was that when I did this only the rear driver side wheel turned while the rear passenger side wheel stayed still. After this I remembered a time this past winter when I tried spinning my wheels a little in the snow while my friend watched and he said that all 4 wheels spun except for that same one, the rear passenger side wheel. At the time I justr disregarded it as him being mistaken.
So, is my rear diff or axle broken or is this how the system works?
