Anyone have any experience with these? I have a pretty stock gst spyder and I need the clutch replaced. If not local parts store where can I get one for a reasonable price?

Anything OEM replacement by a name-brand such as Sachs, LuK, Exedy is alright. They can be bought cheaply online, including eBay. Typically an auto parts store clutch that isn't extremely cheap will do if you don't plan on driving the car aggressively.

I've actually bought a DuraLast clutch DISK from AutoZone and it held up pretty well. I did some occasional pulls and grabbed pretty good. I would recommend buying it for a temporary clutch if on a budget to save up for a better one. I w ould not trust those things in the long run.

I definitely wouldn't trust it for a long time (Not in my car anyway)... With your car being close to stock there wont be a problem with it if you don't abuse it or ride it all day. When you start putting down higher numbers you'll want to stay away from those unless it's a dire emergency.

Just remember Autozone's stuff is cheap shit. You REALLY are taking a gamble on their parts quality.

Just as an example. Back in 2006 a Youtube video went semi-viral of a brake "tech" putting on "new" rotors for a costumer that WERE indeed the right part for his car HOWEVER the part did not meet the minimum thickness the manufacture calls for or even the rotor itself! It was already beyond the service limit brand new!

A few news stations that run scam reports started testing various parts randomly and seeing if they were actually up to OEM standard and most of the parts were past their service limits or no where near the quality of OEM.

A kid I helped with his car had his clutch disk that was three weeks old with only 700 miles on it explode his first time doing a burnout. He did the burnout properly but the discs themselves just aren't meant to take the abuse of even stock factory turbo cars. They are intended for economy and that is it. Even right after breaking in the clutch it would slip in boost, this was a GST as well.

If you go with NAPA's parts as someone else mentioned their quality is way the hell up there compared to any other parts store. If they call it OEM equivalent I'd believe them.
