So this might not be the right forum for this question; mods, please move to the most suitable location...

Anyhoo, I noticed that Autometer has a new intake temp gauge. Actually, they have two models: a single channel and a dual channel. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Not yet, but I'm glad you told me about em. That's an important thing to keep track of, and if a dual-channel is what I think it is, you could use it to check the efficiency of your intercooler (or sprayer, or chiller, or whatever) by measuring temps before and after they enter the intercooler, or even before and after your turbo. Sounds cool to me.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I can't find any information on 'em. I figure they probably run off of 1/8 npt connections, but there might be some sort of EGT thermocouple sort of thing. So, yeah. Not much information...

And I've done some more research and it seems that a DSMlink would give you one temp reading, although I'm not sure where the sensor is in the intake system. Wisemen?

It seems like that if you have a good handle on intake charge temps you can turn down the boost on hot days and up on those cold, foggy nights without knocking.

Although what we really do need is some sort of digital gauge that reads knock...
