Alright so i have a 95 Gst a/t with a new TCU and it skips second gear when the car is in D. So if i give it gas from a stop it takes of in first and shifts but goes into 3rd gear. And if i manually try to shift from 1st to 2nd gear it puts the car in limp mode. If i turn the car off and restart it, the car is no longer in limp mode. Any suggestions?

It is a remanufactured TCU from auto computer exchange.

So if it was a solenoid, how much would it cost to replace and where would be the best and cheapest place to purchase one?

I would guess it would be around $200 at any parts store. Also if you have access to a friend with an auto tranny the shift solenoid is right in front on the tranny toward the top. See if you can use his to see if it will fix the problem before you buy a $200 part you dont need. It will usually set a CEL code but not always. Also check the speed input and output sensor that are right to the right and left of solenoid

I was doing some research on alldata and it said the shift solenoids were under the valve body, and that there were two A, B solenoids? Is this wrong?

You may have hooked the solenoids up wrong. Or they gave you the wrong ones.
They are f4a33 solenoids (the flat kind) and my original where the O ring type. When I first started the car and put it in drive it worked good for like 5 min, We'll I was putting atf in and checking the level. Then I shifted from 1st to 2nd manually and it went into limp mode.
