Well i searched for 3 hours and browsed the automatic transmission forum and cannot find a direct answer to my question. I recently got a 94 talon with 100k and a friend transmission. I have no forward gears but reverse so im 99% sure the torque converter is fried. I can only find transmissions for 89-92's and its pissing me off. For $350 i can get a low mileage jdm one for a 92, of pay 500 locally and take a risk on a 120k transmission. Here is my question, do I simply change the tcu to a 92 when i install the previous year transmission? If so, is the wiring the same. Non turbo 94 Es and transmission would be coming from a 90-92. thanks for the help in advance.
