As the title suggests, I am trying to figure out the wedge bulb that lights up the automatic shifter (P,R,N,D,1,2). I took it out yesterday (forgot to take a picture:ohdamn:) and the thing is pretty big, much bigger than the foot well lights so I'm thinking it might be a 921 but I'm unsure due to lack of markings or help from the local auto parts store. If anybody else has had to change this out and knows the size, insight would be much appreciated.

Yes your right might be a 921 or a 912. I changed mine a while back but I forgot what number it was LOL. Do you still have the bulb?

921 and 912 are actually the same size, just different numbers (don't ask me why). I put the bulb back in not thinking. I do think I have a spare 921 LED bulb, so I'll try that when I can and post back the result.

The Mitsu P/N for it is MF820572, I'm not sure what the bulb type is though.

Much appreciated, however when I try looking it up in Google I'm getting a bunch of sites in Russian. Now to learn Russian!!

Google Chrome offers translations to those sites. :thumb:

Far too much effort, apparently it was easier for me to tear the car apart after work and discover my spare 921 worked...somewhat. Well unfortunately the bulb is far too fat to get into the cutout, and as of yet I cannot figure out how to take off the shifter for the A/T (the overdrive button keeps getting in my way).

I've searched a bunch of threads but can't seem to figure out exactly how to get the button out. Took off every foreseeable screw I could find, but alas no luck. If anybody knows the trick, much appreciated. If not, well I think I'll switch to an Momo knob, relocate the OD button with a toggle switch, and just put a stock shift boot over the while thing to make it nice and clean.:thumb:
