autocross T28 intercooler options

I run a FP B28 with a Same side FMIC with Bottom to top flow.

I run the Hahn big SMIC with FP Big T28 fully ported and FIC 550s. It all works very well together. There is very little that really needs to be done to wheel well to make it happen. I also have a 95 EPROM ecu and a keydriver chip. Works very well. Pictures can be found on my other tuners account bmoha2.

Bmoha - how much power you putting down? Enough to keep up with a lightly modified evo/sti (exhaust, intake, and boost controller)? With my current mods I get put into a SM class with S4, sti, and evos. While I'm out there to just have fun I would like to be a little competitive haha

The record was set on the T28 hi 11s. With a car that actually didn't have of ton of things done to it. It's a fun turbo. Very fast spoolup. I have never had it on a dyno. Approx 330 whp?

Hmm I'll look into that. I was looking at some of the 16g and there are so many of them out there now haha Last time I was looking everyone just said do the Evo III but there are a lot more options now it seems.

If you don't think the side mount will be enough you could do something like what i ended up with. I dropped down from a greddy 24V to an e-bay core that was 22"x9"x2.5" if I remember correctly. When I did the install I had to trim the front bumper to clear the inter cooler and I accidentally over cut it it leaving a nice bypass to let air over the top of the inter cooler and hit the radiator where it should be the hottest. I still need to redo the inter cooler tubing and install an AC fan. I would like to do some ducting work to help keep the air from being able to go around the inter cooler/radiator all together but it didn't turn out all that bad. Ill see if I can get some pics of it today if you want.

Does any place sell side mount intercoolers for our cars anymore? I noticed bullseye sells one but its designed for one of their specific turbo's. I couldn't find SMIC on dejon or Hanh website.

^^ I know for a fact Dejon stopped making them a while back. Hahn stopped as well, someone was looking for me into bullseye but never got back to me. Your best bet is finding one used or going with the supra sidemount (if you have it's end tanks redone it'll fit).

I dont know if the supra side mount will be able to handle an hx35 even if I have setup to spray it with water. Does anyone have flow/hp numbers for that intercooler?

I found a used smic kit for sell (supposed to be the best) but he wants $500 for it and I cant see myself spending that much for it when I just need the intercooler.
