I am having problems with my transmission. approximatly how much would it cost to have it rebuilt and installed.

What kind of "problems" are you having? Also, when is the last time the Auto Trans Fluid and A/T Filter been changed?

Way more then it is worth. Take it from me, a huge mistake unless you are going for an aftermarket rebuild. Stock rebuilds and installs total almost $3,000. I would buy a used one with low miles that runs great.

If you're going to continue modifying your car, IPT charges almost $3k for a rebuild, but it will last.

If you can change it yourself I would find a used or rebuilt one and put it i yourself.

IPT is the only way to go. as soon as I can afford it one will be in my car.

My dad is a mechanic so i will probably drive it to his shop. the only problem is he lives in ocala which is about five hours away. but it will be worth it... Thank you

or do what im gonna do and buy a IPT Performance Transmission Rebuild kit its $519 for my 97 gsx. im gonna rebuild it with the ipt kit and throw a translab shift kit in it.
