auto to manual conversion

Seeing as i just got my 98 Eclipse GS A/T and i have very little skill working on this car, i was wondering if anyone knew how much it would cost to have a place do a A/T to M/T conversion and where i could get this done. (Assuming i have the parts from a donor car)

seems pointless to me, just because its going to be pretty pricy. and unless you plan on slapping a turbo kit on there it wont be too much fun.

Its really not that tough to do yourself if you dont want to spend a whole lot of money plus the fourms have so many posts about swapping them, so Im sure with some patience you could do it yourself. I think vfaq has a whole article about how to do it.

1gs are easer to find the parts for in a junk yard and my swap only cost $86 that is with all parts from a u-pull-it and it includes tranny fluid. I did eventually have to purchase a new clutch for $500. A 2g will be very hard to find parts for and would cost maybe $250 for junk yard parts.

Very very roughly i would say about 3 grand give or take a grand, and some modification and many man labor hours.
