Auto to manual conv question

Hello everyvody I've been searching on here for about a good 2 hours on the questions that I'm about to ask, but first let me give you some info before i ask it.

I recently found a 1995 GSX for cheap and theres nothing wrong with it at all (except paint color, but thats not really a "problem") the ONLY thing that bothers me is that its a automatic. Now, i currently own a 98 GST with a few mods in the engine bay (Intake, stage I ported and polished head, HKS SSQV...) now i already know that my exaust system wont fit on a GSX because of the transfer case and the diffs and all that, but will i have to get another DP? (first question) second question is will a GST tranny fit into a GSX? like i said before, i searched and searched but came up with nothing...

Yes you will need a new down pipe.

The tranny will "fit" but you will turn the car from AWD to FWD with a GST tranny.

If you want to keep it AWD and convert it to a manual, you will need a different tranny, transfer case, and rear end.

so in other words, i would need a GSX tranny, correct?

well that sucks... so now i have to find a GSX tranny and transfer case from a 95...thanks for helping me out!

No prob. Look into a rear end as well. Preferably a LSD rear from a manual AWD car 95-99. Auto's have different rear ends also.

Autos have different rear ends? can you prove this?

Im pretty sure the rear in 2g AWD M/T and A/T's are the same. The only difference i know of is that you will need a transfer case out of a 5spd.

I might be wrong but I believe it is the gear ratio that difers between a rear end out of an automatic car and one out of a manual car.
