In order to be able to give specific and step-by-step advice on correcting camber, I need some information. If you have put any off-the-shelf (OTS) lowering springs on your 2G and not done anything to correct the camber, please find the print-out from a recent - as in, post-install - alignment and post answers to the following questions. Thanks in advance.
What year and type of 2G do you have? (e.g., 1997 TSi AWD)
Which lowering springs do you have? (e.g., Eibach ProKit)
What is your front camber? (separately for left and right, please) (e.g., 1.2* L / 1.1* R)
What is your rear camber? (again, separately for left and right) (e.g., 1.7* L / 1.6* R)

If you could verify the center-of-wheel-to-fender-lip distances, I can fill in the rest. Glad the shimming worked out. 1.5* or so in front and back is a fine set-up for the street. Wouldn't want the car too loose at speed.
