ARP torque specs

22 lbs-ft? really? I know stock for a 1g is 44 lbs-ft for the turbo - manifold bolts.

If it's that low I torques mine too much LOL

I have the torque spec's written down on a laminated piece of paper in my garage, straight from ARP. I trust what the guy at ARP told me, and I've never had a problem personally. Your talking about the bolts in the link correct (1990AWD)?

The torque specs for ARP bolts depend on what type of lubricant you use on the threads before torquing them down. Below are the torque specs for an ARP 10 x 1.25 bolt with 170,000psi tensil strength, which is what those turbo to manifold bolts are...
30w oil (not recommended) - 54 ft/lbs
ARP moly lube (recommended) - 42 ft/lbs
With that being said the OE turbo to manifold bolts, according to the FSM, get torqued between 40-47 ft/lbs which is close to the above.

When you do install the ARP bolts be sure to use the moly lube on the threads as well as the surfaces of the washers.
