ARP main stud clearance

While putting the oil pan on the block I ran into a snag. The oil pan (7 bolt) isnt clearing the arp stud or the bolt. I want to know if anyone else has had this issue, and how did you resolve it. My idea was to shave a bit of the oil pan to clear it but the oil pan doesn't look thick at all. The block is a 2.4 from a galant, the oil pan is a stock 7 bolt one. Any help or ideas are appreciated.

I had the same problem. I just took a body hammer to it and hammered it out. Hope this helps!

6 bolt oil pan should solve this problem.

No it wouldn't. 6 bolt oil pans aren't the same as 7 bolts. 6 bolts are straight all around, 7 bolts have a downward groove on one side to bolt to the 7 bolt front case.

You can see the studs but that's how it came out.
