Ah. Luckily my Talon was worked on by Don himself. :)

So, load that GSX up and bring it over here for a couple of days. We'll fix it.

I suppose you have the specialize tool to do the timing job?

Load it up and bring it over to the dsm garage its empty right now.

Will just have a dsm meet here and work on the car.

Bobby, i am really thinking about that dsm garage now since you got all the tool and your wiring tuck job was amazing! I might have you show me how to tuck mine and get her running right. Plus you know more about ecmlink then i do so it would be perfect.

Hahah. I have the tools for everything. Me and these cars go back. Should look into my build thread. The Talon here is number 16 for me. It's my last DSM. I've got through 3 built ones and a ton of rehabilitated ones. ;) Me and timing....I could damn near do the timing with my eyes closed. It's a 10 minute job minus the one 15 minute wait.

Bobby is a lot closer, though. I may just need to swing by one day.

Yeah I just offered because its closer. I still have much to learn about these cars. Coltons car was my first dsm. I was thinking we would just meet here and everyone that wants to help come over and jump on it. Just be a small meet, work on the cars and hang out.

I know a little about link but I'm still learning about tuning.

The wire tuck wasnt too bad but it does require some time. Its not a afternoon project. It took me about a week to get it done.

Brandon, whatbis with the J-B weld on the head? Or valve cover? Just wanna make sure so if I gotta trackdown a head. Oh, and give luke Yalls input, he wants to rebuild his engine with 1k, help him out.

Well i put together some numbers last night and came up with a number around 1300 bucks. That's a brand new oem oil pump, oem gasket kit( the entire engine kit) ,new rod and main bearings, used 3g lifters, new BS elim kit, a set of revised 7 bolt rods and evo 9 pistons ( which I found on tuners for 300 but one spun a rod), 1 new rod , also budgeted in having a head checked and new valve stem seals installed, used arp head studs, new gates racing timing belt, water pump, but this was just a first time putting the numbers together. I still have a lot of homework to as far as pricing some of these things for a better deal. The 3 most costly items are the oem oil pump( dsm graveyard $228) , oem full gasket set( dsm graveyard $274), and the 7 bolt rod and evo 9 piston combo( found on tuners $300) plus if I got those ( if being the keyword) I would have to buy another rod to replace the one that spun. I don't know if yall seen the add on here but the guy states he spun it on the first start? Like I said this is the first time puttting the pen to the paper on this. I'm wanting to build a good DD. Something strong yet reliable. Not to crazy but something with a little more pep. I'm really wanting to get a reconditioned crank as well but again another $290 from the dsm graveyard. If anyone can give me any tips on where to get some of these parts at for a little better price I'm all for it. I might just up the build to 1500 if I squeeze in a new reconditioned crank or if I can find a good one from tuners. Wanting to build it while I still drive the gst to and from work. Finish the build and slap my FWD to it and stick it in the Talon and go. So I'm still going to run the stock turbo setup or go 14b and stock injectors.

Bse kit runs about.50$ and worth everypenny, install those bearings when we have the crank out will make 2000% easier. You still have those rods inbthe shed from greanbeans. Not sure what spinning a rod is tho? We will figure it out.

Pulled a emt shift tonight, it was fun, worked a rollover accident. Both patients made it through, ford explorer sport tracs are tough little buggers.

I meant spun bearing* and a rod could be bad. I could use those rods and slap on some diff pistons but I'm just going to research this thoroughly. Found a crank on here that claims is good $125 but no pics. I definitely want a good crank. The one in the shed would make a good core. Evo 9 NEW Pistons and Evo 9 Rods - DSM Classifieds Here is the link to the evo 9 pistons. Now when I looked these up on dsm graveyard their website claims they are reconditioned 7 bolt rods.

Thanks bobby, i would love to have my car over there. I would have to plan this ahead of time. if Keiya can come down for a day i think we can get the head gasket job done. After that it just probably need a tune and thats it. I don't want to do the wire tuck job at the moment but just to get the car running.

Keiya, if you can come down i will be willing to pay you gas money to compensate your travel. Plus, it would be perfect for us to finally meet you after missing both the dsm meets LOL

What days are you free? I'm good for Sundays and Wednesdays without taking a day off.

I can do sunday, but i probably should have everything plan out first. It won't be anytime soon ofcourse. I am going to buy the OEM head gaskets and L19 first. I want to shoot for sometimes next month. That will give us enough time for heads up. I need to also make sure the work can be done in one sunday so it won't be sitting too long.

Haha. That would be fine. I could take a couple of vacation days if needed. Haven't been over that way in a couple of years. Would be nice to go see some friends while I'm over. Might even have the Talon running by then.

Ok sweet, bring your Talon down here. I haven't seen one around here in years. Let me think about the days ahead so we can all mark in our calendars.

Anybody wanna make a offer on it shoot me a pm. Like I said Im done.

Make 100% sure that everything is plugged in, even down to the right wires on the battery terminals. Your injectors went working? Does it turn over? Dobyou have spark? The coil is new so do not replace that...

is all of your male/female plugs correctly.plugged in? There is two that are the same but go to different places....

I say, next meet we go fix brandons shit also, my weekends are ####ed until november, don't give up.

I am not trying to insult you or your intelligence, I would love to see that car drive and not ####ing sit, and sit, and sit....

Sorry, its been a long day....

My first 1g and yea got a manual. But you don't know this car like everybody else does?

The " white devil" claims another victim..... what an appropriate name for the car. Blah this is way to early for me but got to fly to ATL today for stupid epa coordinator training. FML!!!!!

Parting it out is an option, there is some money there, not sure if that other gauge cluster got sent with it? If it did that's out of a 92 and will not work in a 90 (tach wont read) I was going to put it in there because it read less miles, that's a no go.

By saying it acts like its not getting fuel have you verified?
Is the fuel rail pressurized?
Are the injectors getting voltage?
Are the spark plugs wet?

Does your fuel pump prime? I actually pulled the coil when I had the fuel rail off and had a buddy turn it over to make sure the iniectors where firing.... (don't forget and climb.under the car and try to start it, big mistake ;) )
