Resonate Engeneering should have a cone and coil to rebuild them. If they dont they will be able to point you in the right direction.

yeah i found a site that sells them but i dont know if they are 12 or 4 spoke baskets or not i might have to just call them and ask. but i was thinking you might have known

Well fellas OLE Red has been KTFO. I was leaving a buddies house last night headed east down I30 crossing the river bridge when a guy pulling an equipment trailer come into my lane and smashed up the whole side of my car. I was in the far lane passing the guy and he just put his blinker on and pinned me with his trailer against the retaining wall. I fought against the trailer to keep from riding up the wall. Then he just kept on driving like nothing happened so I chased his ass down with my two front tires flat and flashed him down till he finally stopped. When I told him what happened he said he didn't even know he hit anything and didn't even see me. what a hell of a ride. The worse part was when I was chasing him down on the flats. I wish I could have seen peoples faces when I was passing them on flats flashing my lights at the guy running about 70 mph. It took about a mile before I got him stopped. Definitely going to have some body work doneand going to need all new front end parts ball joints, wheel bearings, ect.

Wow, definately sounds like a ride. I assume his insurance is going to front the bill on all of this but do you think they are going to try and total your car? It's so dangerous now with our cars because the KBB is so disgustingly low that insurance wants to total everything out, unless you can show detailed receipts for everything.

Yeah I'm afraid they are going to total it but they can total if they want to. I don't have to except their offer even if its the KBB value of the car. I have some receipts from my online purchases with my paypal account but I haven't really haven't had to do much to my car. If they want to give me trouble I'm just calling a lawyer immediately. It was a drilling company truck and I know they have to have that million dollar policy. I'm hoping to call the company and try to settle without bringing in the insurance company but I doubt that he will. I'm at an easy 5k worth of damage.

The revised 7 bolt uses a split thrust bearing on the crank instead of the half-ass one used in the 92-97 7 bolts. This allows for you to retain the rotational speed (rev) ability of the 7 bolt rod combo whilst not having to worry about crank walk. Which, again, crank walk isn't very probable, but it was enough so that Mitsu went back and revised the bearing that was causing the problem. They are hard to find.

hey what does this sound like to you a exhaust leak or lifter..... I hear a rattle/tapping when i give it some gas around 2k-2.5k rpm? It goes away when it passes that. Let me know. thanks.

Exhaust leaks usually get louder and are constant for the most part. So my vote is lifter tick

Fayettevile area, just moved from washington. 6bolt motor has just under 4k miles, just started a job and will be slowly buying parts for a hx40 or 35 turbo set up. Looking for some fellow dsms, to cruise and tune with. I also need a non oil cooler OFH I got a leak. Hit me up

The verdict is still out on if its totaled or not. The wreck bent the driver side front rim, scraped up,the rear drive side rim, and scraped the pass front. Plus all the damage. So I'm betting shes totaled but if that's the case then I will buy the car back from the insurance company and get her fixed up. I'm definitely going to have to get some kind of other vehicle to get back and forth to work while mines in the shop and yes Kei the morning after my knees and my back miraculously hard sharp pains in them the next morning so I was of to the ER .

Coming from the timing belt side? If so I can tell you exactly what that is.

Welcome to the area, I just got in all of my clutch swatch parts in this weekend and will be trying to get mine back on the road this month. Since school is starting and I teach it may go slow for awhile until things steady themselves in September.

Nice build by the way I'll definitely have to come check it out. Also I see that you have ECMLink 3, is it full or lite? You are certainly closer for me to come take a look at it and decide if I want to go link or a flashable ECU.
