If they charge anything over 1000$ I say #### that you could buy a whole new one.

One shop quoted me 1200$ without parts if I pulled the transmission for the white devil, got a 92 tranny for 700 with less than 75k miles..

Hey, piece of history and all. Haha. Tell them it's an automotive artifact.

Well guys, the girls step dad decided to go nuts on me the past couple days haha. Soooo I had to go get my car from his garage and bring it back to my house, which in turn is not such a bad thing since now I don't have to drive all the way to LR to work on it and will be more motivated since it's in a nice garage at my house! :)
Should've seen it coming but it happens....or something like that.

Decided to get some simple green, a couple scrub brushes and take it by a car wash on the way home. Pretty excited to get this whole engine bay repainting underway!

Yes, the driveshafts pulled, which was a pain on its own on a gravel road :/

I am down to final stages of the rebuild. I got the engine to idle on its own without the help of some one giving it throttle. Turns out I had and intake manifold leak. When I got the gasket kit it was for a 1g and didn't even look to see if there was a difference in gaskets :ohdamn: . After I installed the right gasket she was good to go. Then I located 2 oil leaks. One was from where I did the bse and didn't stick a bolt back where the bs pulley was and the other was from when I primed the oil up on the enigne when it was on the stand. I stripped the nut on the oil pump gear to where it wasn't tight and it the nut wouldn't come off. Finally got the nut to come off the shaft but stripped all the threads comming off :banghead: . Sooo I retapped the shaft to a slightly smaller nut (was a 14mm now a 12mm) with a washer and a nylon locker in the end of the nut and now no more leaks. I even got permission from the wife to let me work on the car during the week some to try and get it all finished up and driving by the weekend. . The last difficult task I have left would be the exhaust since I'm using an awd setup and I am running a fwd downpipe but that is just taking measurements and adding a section in to meet the dp.

Kei I do have a good hood and driver side fender in red if you need them. The pass side is shit. If you need them Let me or spencer know and we'll hook you up. Seems like the going thing is trading parts for beer. LOL

I am in need of some new hood hinges, mine have developed a wicked rattle after the solid mounts and polyfill....anyone have some 2g hinges laying around?

Hmm. Let me double check, and make sure. But unless Luke wants something for em. Price of shipping will work for me.

Where are the pick n pull places with some 2g DSMs. I would like some side skirts, and 2gb talon passenger side fog light.

Transmission story:
The video shows them pulling the car from the back, then from the front, not using a flat bed. They stopped 3 times trying to figure out why the wheels were locked and dragging.

They said the shifted the car into neutral using the shifter linkage under the car and they think they might have broken that linkage and that is why I only have two gears. Car is at shop now to see if that is the problem. After that, I am taking it to AAMCO to check everything over. They are paying the tow bill and AAMCO bill. I still want my money back that I paid to get the car back from them.

Rock City Towing in NLR is SHADY!!!

pick n pull in cabot or little rock off baseline

Car is "fixed". The shift linkage was messed up by them. Tomorrow I will have it towed to AAMCO for them to check it over and I will pay to send the valve body off to Metro transmission to have the valve body rebuilt and shift kit installed.

Meeting with a Lawyer tomorrow morning.

Also, learned something interesting - Several people he has represented have come out with upwards of $25,000 -after- vehicle repairs. And these are incidents such as "They backed into me at Wal-Mart" with no injuries.

Holy S&^% !!!!!!! That's who does the towing for my complex!!!!! I just noticed the signs up here a couple of weeks ago. I'm definitely going to talk with my property manager about these guys. I'm not going to have my cars towed for some BULLS^%$ reason and screwed up in the process.

See the Lawyer first man. Otherwise if they don't pay the bill is going to be on you.
