Auto AWD Talon is running and driving. :) So that makes a 2GA and a 2GB, both AWD, parked in my drive.

I seem to have nothing but bad luck with my Talon. My car was illegally towed from my apt complex and I am almost 100% sure the guy didnt use a flat bed. So i guess he drug my auto AWD talon all the way from little rock to north little rock. Car was towed because it didn't have a parking permit. I put my permit in the correct spot over a week ago and the property manager told me and the tow truck driver that I did in fact have a sticker. Went to pick the car up and the sticker is missing. Paid to get my car back, drove less than a mile and I now only have two gears!!!! Car will not shift out of second.

The transmission was rebuilt 19000 miles ago with an IPT rebuild kit, and billet converter. Its now ruined because the tow truck guy didnt take the time to see if I had a sticker, then removed the sticker to cover his tracks, and messed my transmission up in the process.

Another thing, it appears my engine is pushing coolant. Car doesnt smoke or run bad, but under some runs with boost at 20psi, the coolant will bubble and push the cap off the resevoir tank. I am thinking under boost, the head lifts and causes coolant to push out. I noticed oil is being pushed out from the coil cap too. Engine was rebuilt 19000 miles ago with APR head studs and cometic gasket.

I would like to fix this ASAP. I think I can retorque the head studs and solve the problem. Anybody have any ideas on this??? Anybody can give me a head?? I just moved here 2 months ago and my luck has been terrible.

I am sorry to hear that man. I would be really pissed, if i were you i would persue legal action against that towing company. Who is so ignoriant not to check if its awd or not. Pulling up a vin can easily tell them that in their database if they have that kind of system. or simply check for a driveshaft underneath and that is all it would take. Sue their ass

What kind of low rent tow truck company doesn't have a flat bed?

Mickey Mouse bullshit.

There are cameras all over my complex. They cant see my car where it was parked but they can see how and when the car was towed. Im almost certain they didnt use a dolly or flatbed cause of the marks on the ground and the two scratches on my front bumper.

I am thinking I might end up in court.

Any good transmission shops in this area?

Welp, someone decided to run a stop sign on the Red Auto AWD's first day out. Slammed into it. The car is savable but will be needing a new hood, fenders, etc. All on fault of the other driver. It was a 2 way and he failed to stop. 20 witness' to the incident.

This was the womans' car. She's devastated that the same day she started driving it, someone damn near demolished it. She's in bed right now with a busted knee and a back injury. Their insurance company will be ponying up the money for a full cosmetic repair plus mechanical, medical bills, time lost from work, etc.

So, bad news is that we almost lost the car and the female was hurt. Good news is that it will be back even nicer than before with several grand in the pocket to spare.

The frame looked to be without damage save for the upper right hand corner where the driver head light is (thankfully she decided to keep the crash guard on) and it still drove straight (for the half a block it took to park it). Crushed some intercooler piping but it still runs with no leaks or new noises. Think it's mostly cosmetic. Either way, a good local body shop will be quoting a full repair on it plus paint and such. It was flatbed escorted to a local tow yard where it will set and await inspection for all legal purposes. This was about 3 blocks from my house I think this one will be just fine.

What's your price range? I'd be willing to part with mine if you covered what I have in it at the moment, about 5500$.

New clutch, flywheel, tires, brakes, pads, caliper rebuild, head gasket, timing belt, bs eliminator...it goes on and on LOL. I've got my eyes on a datsun roadster in running condition....

That actually sounds great! Right now I've got a guy pretty interested in buying my wrx, and that's the only thing holding me back right now. Once it's sold, $5,500 isn't bad at all.

Damnit man, Its just a car though, glad she is relatively ok. It could have been alot worse.

luckily you got some good friends that can help you out with a hood and drivers side fender already painted red ;)

And a bumper, even though its a mitsu :( Let me and luke know and we will work something out.

That's awesome. As I said, We're going to make his insurance company pay for every bit of the car repair plus some for her. I can't even get her in the damn truck to take her for a check up today she's so worried. -exhale-

Can anyone reccommend me a transmission shop locally. I did some searching and I have come up with:

AAMCO
Razorback transmissions (LR)
Budget transmissions
Robs Transmission (NLR)
I-40 transmission (NLR)
Southern transmission service (Pine Bluff)

I am leaning toward AAMCO and I-40 transmissions
