Whew had about 6 pages of catching up but I'm finally back in the loop on whats been going on. Ive been in and out of OKC for the past 2 weeks. So work has been keeping me busy. Besides that I worked last weekend on starting to put my engine in. Didn't get to install it but it is hanging on a chain fall in my buddies shop begging me to drop it in. I am going to be devoting all of my weekend to installing it and hopefully hear it start. Maybe not drive it but at least hear it idle. going on 5 months and about 2500 poorer I'm getting antsy at the the though of driving it. I sold my recent purchase of an Rx-8. I turned a profit on it so at least I didn't take a loss. I think that Rx-8 was going to need an engine soon so I offed it on craigslist. I took it on one of my trips to OKC and on the way home I just so happened to run across a black Rx-8 on the interstate around Russelville. :thumb:
Im sure we all know I couldn't resist a little fun. we ran head to head not one of us giving an inch until i hit 6th gear 118mph @6000 rpm mine would go no more and the black one walked away..... After that the damn car was starting to give me problems. I called Mazda and their advise was to buy a new engine so F^%$ that. I sold it to a kid and he can finish it off. I'm not about to spend another 2k on an engine. Especially on a car I had payments on.

I was seeing on here where somebody needs interior plastics I have a parts car that is purely a donor car. meaning if you want to make a trip for it anybody is pretty much welcome to whatever they want. The only thing I would want cash for is that I have the rear section of a fwd exhaust. I would take 20 buck for it. Its just the 2 sections that hooks up to the muffler and after the 02 sensor. I think its either 2"1/4 or 2"1/2 im not sure but its stainless. I also have a 2g auto harness that I would like 50 obo on it. That it pretty much everything else is for free. Ohh except the front struts they are brand new . Not for sale

Al if you still need the moly lube I have like 2 unopened packets of it. Shoot me text if you need it.

Should have the car running again this weekend! Those Jay Racing tools are dream time saver.

Got the oil system together, primed and tested for leaks, turbo in, intake on, timing belt on. Just bolting it back together and good to go.

I FINALLY passed my comprehensive exams for my PhD program so I can relax for a week or so before starting my dissertation. Thankfully we get good weather this week.
 
I just changed the seals but the fuel rail only has one bolt haven't been able to mess with getting the other two out of the block .......I just changes the oil and cleaned up the Turbo and it stoped smoking runs alot smoother now ......the timing belt is in good condition don't know if the timing is perfect though
 
I had to order all my engine mount bolts from Mitsubishi, so once they come in I can start to take it out. Should be here by sat., the dude that started to take it apart lost all the bolts. So it's been a pain. . .
 
Send a picture, it could be an EPROM, I'm sure is for your car. Doesn't autos work on 5 spds but not the other way around?

What's it doing? Still running terrible? Have you leak tested it yet?

Well The bike will be down for a while, just in time for it to warm up LOL.

Front and rear sprockets, chain, and a tuneup.

Was actually thinking of going down a tooth in the rear, I would rather rocket faster than go 170mph LOL

Its not an eprom I checked their is a pic of it on my profile .......its running alot smoother now was just curious when i checked the ecu .....haven't had time to leak test it between work and school
 
I would do a BLT man, that could be your problem, I have double checked my piping before, than tested and you would be amazed
 
Hey I am new here. Moved to Little Rock 2 months ago. Bought a 2Gb talon yesterday. Would like to meet other DSMers. Outside working on the car right now.

Luke's wife has one of those, it's an NA but it isn't bad at all..

Haha, if the wife would let me and the gixxer wasn't outa commission. ;)

I'd actually like to get some real times on it. Keep the front down, all about clutch controll. 70 mph in first? I think so :p
