Help me out here guys, 94 chevy 5.7 TBI. Replaced cap , rotor, plugs, wires, fuel pump )pressure 12psi) coil, alt good, new batt, TBI cleaned and is now pulling vacuum, PCV valve, new vacuum lines and fuel filter, it starts, idles high and then sputters and dies, new TPS AND IAC. Sigh, I hate chevy, I guess next step pull the distribitor

Hard to tell, spray carb cleaner around the TB and nothing, their might be a crack in it, but the ####ed up thig is, it just came for a "tune up" sooooo.. I am plagued by 90-991/2 Chevys, fords just come naturally easier for me to work on.

yeah I think there is a 97 auto awd tranny at pick and pull in little rock... I pulled the bumper off that car for mine... the engine was gone but the tranny was still in it... I think the diff was gone to.

As long as it's in good condition that will be great. Only real way to tell is to check it out by hand, pull the pan, and check for metal. =/

Hope to get my head finished porting this weekend. I ordered some 1/8 shank carbide burrs for my dremmel to allow me to do some bowl work a little easier without worrying about the seats as much. Anyone got a good picture of what GOOD bowl work looks like? It's hard to find a consensus on the board.

And that's where my engine came from.

It's hard to find a solid consensus on the subject. I want to do the same thing myself. What I keep reading is raise the ceiling but don't increase the runner size.

That's what I keep hearing as well however I can't find a good clear picture on exactly what portions of the roof cover and where To raise them. I may just try to smooth things out but the Dremel will help things out quite a bit .

I have spent just as much on the tools for the rebuild as parts

Well yes. What did you expect? A Tempurpedic matress feeling? Lmao.

If you have your Balance Shafts removed, it's even worse~

My old gst had a custom built solid mount on just the front side ones were stock ones helped it pull a little better. And I'm pretty sure I just saw you in nlr man

I drove a 68 camaro that had a 512 stoker with a solid plate front mount and a solid mid plate. The whole car would shake when idling.

Guess that equates to sleeping on a pile of rocks. Lol

Am I the only one that absolutely LOVES that feeling? I like to have the feeling of horsepower rumbling through you. The new Cameron's and mustangs lack this and don't scream muscle car to me like my best friends old trans am did....my car is on its way to solid front and rear mounts with windowless sides. After the 272 cams I'm hoping for a little more "muscle" feel to it.

Oh I love it. Of corse I cut my teeth on American muscle v8's

My first ride was a 73 Chevy truck with a built almost bulletproof 350. Was running a 292 cam on solid mounts. It shook like it was having a nervous breakdown.

That's why I want the 272's on this build is because it has a muscle sound to it.

Badass. :D No air compressor to do a boost leak test with.

-_-;
