Yea, took the oil cap off and no sound change. My uncles are mechanics and they both claim to say it's not a lifter tick. I'm no mechanic but too me it doesn't sound like one. I can post a vid tomorrow if i cant figure it out in the morning.

Edit: May be the oil pump pulley loose.

Congrats, you should be able to move along quickly. Do you have a motor yet? You could probably pick up one of the parts cars that the guy with the laser awd in hot springs has for cheap and the resell what you have left as a shell.

Also, make sure to get in touch with the vendors like Mishimoto as they seem to be helpful I. Providing parts for interesting builds.
 
I've found a 6 bolt short block, a set of aries 20 over forged pistons, and 2g head that will have to be rebuilt.

I've also sourced a harness.

Once the build starts taking shape and I can show progress I have thought about reaching out to vendors for deals on a unique build.

I've found a 6 bolt short block, a set of aries 20 over forged pistons, and 2g head that will have to be rebuilt.

I've also sourced a harness.

Hey guys, finally got a chance to update my build log on here. Let me know what you think I've had these posts stocked up for about 2 months and just didn't around to uploading the pictures.

I have some interesting plans in line for the spring including a potential hidden nitrous kit to try out :sneaky: I haven't a kit on the 4G63 before and think it might be a good way to try things out.

Nice work, I am debating solid mounts with the swap.
 
Solid mounts are alright. I've driven a car with them and couldn't complain much about them.

In other news -

1 : I now own another 6 speed LT1. :D She needs some TLC but runs and drives.

2 : At a stand-still on the Talon until I get the fittings for the damn feed line. I need the banjo bolt and fitting for the line for the 2G head, and the same for the 16g turbo. I was sent the fittings for a 1G head (bigger banjo fitting on the head) and some awkward one for the turbo that doesn't work. If any of you guys have these lying around I'll take them immediately.

3 : STM blows at responding to questions.

Cabot2g, wouldn't you able to use some nice flat mounts like hockey pucks which most 240sx people use with the ls1, rb, and sr do?

I'm a huge fan of Poly inserts. :D Hocky Pucks work as well in most cases. Lol

STM does some good business, they just apparently blow at getting back to questions that would net them sales if they'd just answer. Every time I try to purchase from ExtremePSI I get stuck at the damn payment screen as it continue to ask for a Zip even though the Zip is filed. -.-;
 
It will be a puck style mount. I'm not concerned about the mounts, that is a easy fab job.
The transmission is my biggest hurdle right now. The Might Max is good for about 300hp and is a direct bolt on.

I'm in need of a dash for a 95' Bird. Anyone know of any in good condition at a fair price?
 
There is a 94, 96, and a 97 bird at the Cabot pnp.

If you stop in there anytime soon, could you take a look of them and check their condition? I need the one with the three vents in the center like this -
