Raced a rt challenger on the freeway last night got to 145 my exhaust was so hot I could see my stock manifold glowing red and I melted my cooling fan in front of my turbo. I knew it got hot and been planning to switch it to a slim line anyway like the one on my passenger side. hey cabot2g got any decent injectors?

Cabot pick and pull has 2 early fourth gen birds with good dashes I went looking for one for mine but all they had was 96-93 no 97-02 birds.

It's actually for my Bird. That's awesome to hear that they have the year I need which is '95. As long as they are the ones that have the 3 center vent placements and not those narrow slit ones. Any idea on the cost? I would actually pay for someone to grab one and bring it to me. :D

Need it exactly like this -

Notice the top part that has a big crack in it? I need that too. Mine is shattered - I'd take a decent replacement, even with a crack.

If they also have a good driver side A pillar and read speaker covers, that would be awesome also.

Sounds like you're running rich, also, if your manifold is glowing like that. Might want to dial back on the street racing talk, though. It's kind of frowned upon.

I don't really street race but you flirting with a girl driving a challenger on the freeway I would played with her if I was in a mini van. she was fine as all get out LOL, But I won that's all that matters. Im actually rebuilding a transmission today for a ws6 for a customer so I probably wont be going anywhere today.

Bobby I was just browsing around craigslist and found this..........

95 mitsubishi mitimax | North Little Rock | eBay Classifieds (Kijiji) | 9934803

Idk why it put up that page.... i pulled it from craigslist, I'll get it right hold on....

95 Mitsubishi Mitymax

ok that's it!!!

Thanks!

I also found a transmission and motor mounts in Fayetteville. Kind of a good drive but its not out of the question.

If anyone comes across a hy35, hx35(7 or 8 blade), or a 20g for a decent price let me know. I'll also have a e316g for sale I plan to rebuild when I find another. Or I night keep it as a back up. Either way I need a bigger snail.

You going to use a BEP housing or a T3/T4 manifold?

I have also started a build thread if any one wants to follow the build.

Anybody know where I can get the tensioner pully tool right now? I need it ASAP. Anyparts stores?

The timing tensioner? All the others should be bolt tensioners.

Someone else chime in. I don't want to give him the "wrong way" to get the tensioner piston back in.

If you mean where to find the actual timing belt tensioner itself - Do not buy offbrand. Either purchase OEM or purchase from parts Dinosaur.

If you mean the screw tool to adjust the tensioner - it's not 100% needed, but that's usually a modified battery bracket. Can pick one up from most DSM online stores as well.

If you mean the 2 pronged wrench (can't recall the name) that's used to adjust the belt pulley to put more tension on the belt - I believe that can only be had online or from a dealership. I've never used one.

I know how to do it, I just need the TOOLS to do it. I bought a Chilton book and got the special tool numbers for them to see, but no part store around here has it. I was in a huge hurry when I typed the last post, so I don't want you guys to think i'm a "windowlicker" for our cars....

About the rough idle then stall post, I had little to no fuel pressure.

"Windowlicker." Lmao

Yeah. that tool is order only. Don't worry about it - Use some needle nose, 0-ring pliers, or just adjust it manually. It's really not too hard at all.

We don't.... Idk what kind of tools you need.. I never had to use any special tools.

If you have little to no fuel pressure, the worst thing it can be is the fuel pump.. Check and see if you hear it kick in when you turn the key on. If you haven't replaced then fuel filter yet. Now would be a good time to get a good FF. that's where I would start if your fuel pressure is little to none.

ok so what tensioner tool? every timing belt ive done I always took off tensioner and compressed then locked in place with a cotter pin. lined up then removed to set in place. never had any problems doing it this way.

I'm going to do my timing then i'll move to the fuel pressure problem. The car did set for about 2 1/2 months. Also after getting it into the shop, I took the injectors out releasing the pressure and it sat for another couple of weeks like that. So maybe the O ring on the fuel pump went to junk or pop out. Or maybe the fuel pump itself went. I'll soon find out though. So could someone explain to me how I would go about doing this timing thing without the "special" tools?

Compress the new tensioner very, very, i repeat, very slowly compress it. put the "grenade pin" which could be just about anything, but I use a tiny Allen wrench (gives you something to grab with if the motors still in the car. Get the belt and all components in line. Have a friend help you hold the exhaust cam. It likes to move a tooth. When you like it. Pull the pin. If you mess up, it's ok. Take it off and repeat. Then I think you can stick the pin back in it? Alex knows a lil more about that...

Correct - "Proper" adjustment should mean that once you rotate the timing assembly 5-6 times and let it sit for 15 minutes that you can simply slide the pin back in. However, a little height difference isn't a major deal at all unless it's just a ridiculous amount.

Once you bolt the tensioner onto the engine there is not a reason to ever remove it unless you absolutely messed something up or missed a step in assembly. You can do this pin test while the tensioner is bolted to the block.
