Are you able to paint the 99 Eclipse OZ edition rims?

I'm dying to paint my OZ rims on my eclipse. Dad and I both thought the paint wouldn't stick to such light weight aluminum. So we are stumped, not sure if we can paint these suckers or not. Anyone painted them before? Or anyone painted a metal like them before?

Of course they can be painted, its all in the prep work on how well the end product is going to be but to be honest your best bet is to get them powdercoated by a reputable place... Powdercoating is the way to go if you got the cash...

Say I wanted to do them myself, how would I go about prepping them? Anyone with experience painting these would be nice, or similar material.

Get some sandpaper or some scotchbright and go to scrubbing away!!!! All you need to do is knock the shine off the wheels and then it will stick just fine! Go buy some degreaser and some prep(i.e. Lacuqer thinner or other paint prep) and wipe them down with a lint free rap and let it sit for a bit to air out then some primer/sealer.(Your choice on amout but use light coats) Then paint and let air out(Also your choice but I always go with many light coats instead of 1-2 heavy coats, much better finish)Choose whether to wet sand after paint is dry and then clear coat if you choose.....
