I'm trying to find a picture of an 99 Oz edition's gauge pod. (the stock one)
Is it white face, or more of a silver?.. I just bought a gauge pod, and I was wanting to make sure it is what it says. Also the gas gauge is saying full, of course this is not on the car yet, does this mean that it is broken?..

You can move the needle by hand or at least on my 1g you can. I had to mark were the stock one was when I installed my gauges so I knew I had the correct reading. Hopefully you didn't mess with the stock one that way your not reading a half tank when in reality your empty.

The fuel gauge doesn't move down when the car is turned off... you can move the needle, it will set to what your fuel level gauge tells it.

The gauges should be just an OEM Gauge, but White.

Well, I bought this gauge cluster it is supposed to be an OZ cluster, but it looks silver to me not white, and it doesn't look like a sticker on it. So, does no one have a good picture of one, for me to compare?....
I have searched and I can't find a picture, that I am sure is a OZ gauge cluster.

They came in a metallic silver that looks white in most photos.

Right and dont remove that needle, it will adjust when you pluf it up to your car. :thumb:

I just converted my 97 ESI to a full 99 black leather interior including this.

Well yeah, why wouldn't it? You fill up your tank, pull the cluster... the needle stays put... you install it in a car with no gas... it gets a new signal and changes. Its doing what its supposed to do. read the sensor coming from the fuel tank.

pull the cluster... the needle stays put....

This is the key phrase here... if you remove the gas needle for any reason, it won't be as simple as just re-installing it. Anyone that's changing over to the OZ cluster won't have to mess with their gas needle... or any other needles for that matter.

If you're reading this thread thinking that the install is the same as an indiglo gauge install or any other gauge overlay install... it's not. That's a whole 'nother ball game.

Uhm kinda! I could reinstall my otto gauges to show... But on installs of Aftermarket Gauge Faces, you DO NOT have to pull the needles. Pulling the needles are very scary, because getting them back to where they were, thats like finding a needle in a hay stack! haha... The aftermarket gauge faces are designed to bend, and they have a hole big enough to go over the entire needle so you can install the faces without even really touching the needles. All you have to do is pull the clear plastic piece, and then the black plastic piece and install the faces, get them exactly where you want them since they will move around until you clamp them down with the black plastic piece, and reinstall the gauges into the car. Verrrrry simple. I made the mistake of pulling the needles off my Accord Gauges to install the aftermarket Silver faced gauges I got... my stuff never was the same. If anyone wants pictures, I guess I could take some
