Are we ready for another Austin/SA Meet

so then no meet until next yr? or will it take a little more planning than an "lets meet...time and place" kinda thing.

LOL it is going man. Finally got the 16g installed, but I am still on my smic for now along with a couple of problems that need to be sorted out LOL. The list includes

1. I added my 660cc injectors, but couldn't figure out the tuning aspects so I put the stockers back on for now until someone can help guide/educate me or I can get it tuned. I might need to trade them for some 560cc ones or so also since I only have the safc-ii, logger, wideband trio (I want dsmlink now hahahaha).

2. The boost stays at the set wastegate level at times, but other times the damn thing wants to shoot up to 20+psi (I have another wastegate to try and see if that is the problem, but I don't want to have to pull the entire turbo off just to change a wastegate)

So hopefully I can get this stuff sorted out. How is your car build going? Is it almost done?

The build is kicking my ass. I just installed my timing belt, then had to do it again. I am having trouble with my balance shaft elimination.

LOL damnit. You WILL NOT believe this I go to start my car earlier today and it won't crank over so I popped the hood and pulled the wires and put them back and then the car starts fine so I think nothing of it. NOW I go back to start the car just a second ago and it is doing the same thing as earlier only this time I get a p0335 crankshaft position sensor a circuit CEL.........Man I can't keep this car running now that I have a new turbo LOL. It just doesn't want me to enjoy it.

If that sensor is bad, your car isn't going to start.
It really isn't too hard, considering you don't have to mess with the timing belt.

Justin: You do know if you don't install that timing belt right, and you start up the car............bye bye valves. If you need some help with that I know who can help you, just let me know.

I looked through the search function and quite a few pulleys and belts need to be pulled to get to this thing. I don't want to go messing up anything so I guess to the shop it goes.

Well I can get it pretty easy in about 20 minutes. Dead on too. (3 hours of practice helped) Thats not the problem. The problem is that rear bearing on the front shaft. I got it out by turning the front shaft around and using it as a tool to pop it out, but putting it in (clocked 180 degrees of course) is causing me trouble. I broke 2 bearings already. (1 stock, and 1 that came with the kit). I am going to have to take out my crankshaft girdle so I can reach in there by hand.

AND, that damn screw that is holding on the oil pump housing. (The only screw, the rest are bolts) I have to take it out so I can put the stubby in. The screw isn't stripped, but it is starting to and I am scared it will.

Today I just got a tap & die set and went to town on my engine. The tap and die set is a miracle worker. <3

Hey man, have this shit learned like the back of my hand. I can do that for you if you want. I haven't tried to do it in the car, but It can't be that hard. We just have to get the water pump pully off, ac pully off, (they are both on the same shaft), harmonic balancer off, and lower timing belt cover off. Then its right there, on the crank shaft.

yeah that would be cool. I need to find the part at the dealer or somewhere else though if they even have it in stock

any body know's how much does this 560cc injectors go for used with 58k on them. :)

Use an impact screwdriver for ANY screw that doesn't want to come out BEFORE you tear up the head of it. Something like this 3/8" Impact Driver Set w/Bits (LIS29200) if your not sure what it is.

okay LOL someone point me in the direction of loosening the belts so I can take them off.

What bolts? The timing belt cover? I took half of the bolts off of my car with a CHEATER bar (pipe).

ROFL You needed a breaker bar to take off timng belt cover bolts??

I wont go into much detail, theres nothing a little Search button cant solve ;)

Easiest way to start:
1) Remove the driver wheel/Dust guard to reach everything
2) Unbolt the crank pulley (4 bolts) to loosen the tension of the A/C, Power Steering, Alt Belts
3) Remove the driver side motor mount (make sure you put a jack/piece of wood to support the motor)
4) Remove the timing belt cover

Im not exactly sure but you "Might" be able to already unbolt the crank sensor (2 bolts) by turning the crank to a sweet spot

If not,

Then looks like your going to have to take off the timing belt:

Heres the Vfaq for it..

hell yeah making some progress LOL now I just need to get this timing belt cover off and I am in business. So who is all going sunday?
