pte 550s
hard dejon intake
catback

all parts were really good price.

i was told i NEED a wideband. is this true? is this a good setup. this is my daily driver. what are your opinions? i know the basic idea of a wideband but is it a need? can i put the parts on then get a wide band later or should i wait?

+1 for wideband and tuning device if you want to get real use out of the 16g

I don't think the fuel rail is completely necessary though

&& Link or some tuning device. You can install all of those parts but without a tuning device, your car will run like absolute dirt.

I would say it's a pretty good start, especially since it's going to be a daily driver. But, like everyone else said definitely get the wideband and a tuning device (dsmlink, AFC) if you plan on turning the boost up. Good luck!

Yes definitely get a wideband. And if you plan on running bigger injectors you're going to need some sort of tuning device. If you stay with 550s the you could just get a SAFC. I would try to get a wideband before you put on the turbo and fuel upgrades, other than than I would slap the rest on there, oh yeah other than the FMIC as well, wait for the turbo. List looks good!:thumb:

PLEASE dont use SAFC. Its a piggyback system. I think Ceddymod is a good choice too if not link.

I severely hate SAFC because it is just a band aid. When it fools the ECU on the air flow, well that might be great for the fueling aspect of the car, but what about the timing maps? This is it's major downfall. If you are going to start tuning, I would recommend one of the other solutions that were mentioned.

Get yourself a wideband and start tuning in stages. Add one thing at a time with a goal.

Example with Ceddy mod:

Ok first thing is to flash the ECU and make it run like stock

Then add a 2 step

Then calibrate MAF...

and so on

Do each one step at a time and you won't get too far in it and will learn a lot. This will give you a foundation.

If you have a more specific question on tuning, ask it

And PS.

Your stock fuel rail will support any mods that are in your immediate future. You honestly will never need anything other than your OE fuel rail.

I didn't notice you had a 95 so most likely you already have an EPROM ECU. I would just skip the SAFC then, and get DSMLink. It is a great thing to have even if you don't plan on making a bunch of power. I also think ceddymods would be good but since you already most likely have an EPROM I don't think it would make sense to get a reflashable ECU to run it, I think DSMLink is better. My other .02.

I am using a 3 inch downpipe and could tell a difference from it, but I also have a 3 inch exhaust as well.

I'd see if your ECU is EPROM. If it is, sell the safc2 and the fuel rail and get DSMLink. Then save up for a wideband. Also, with a 190 pump you shouldn't need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. An AFPR is needed with a 255 pump. So sell the AFPR and put that towards DSMLink or a wideband.

where does it say he has an afpr? from what he said he just has a fpr. Your mods are good. had a setup like this with NO dsmlink and it ran like shit. take everyones advice and get dsmlink, its worth the money.

Seeing that he listed it as a bolt on modification I assumed it was an adjustable. Just like I assume he bought an after market fuel rail even though it just says "fuel rail" in his list... Everyone's car has a fpr and fuel rail on it already so I see no other reason for him to list those items.

i just listed all the aftermarket parts. so im currently saving for a wideband. but my new question is what is stock diameter of the downpipe. if it is 2.5, then why should i get a 2.5 aftermarket downpipe.

my exhaust situation= i have to pass emision and i setup right now is stock all the way to cartback. its 2.5 at the cat and goes up to a 3. if i where to get a downpipe it would have to be a 2.5. UNLESS they have a 2.5 to a 3 and back to a 2.5 at the cat.
