I am just wondering, I had this motor built a while ago, and am just doing some maintenace on it.

When built I opted for ARP headstuds, ARP flywheel bolts, ARP HB bolts, and stock mains, but..

I cant remember if I had them do ARP rod bolts also??

from this picture can you tell if these are stock 6-bolt rod bolts or arp's, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

ahhh, ok, thought they were bolts because of the ovalish tops where i couldnt get a pic.

Im extremely impressed this setup has handled 450hp then.

Thanks man.

I take it you didn't put new rods in on your rebuild then? I wouldn't go to much higher on a stock rod/bolt 7 bolt.

6-bolt rods, 2g pistons :)

This motor has been seeing 450 hp on e85 for about 6000 miles, just pulled the oil pump to replace gears with helicals and do some other stuff while im in here, Everything seems to be holding together, 175 across the board..

NPR pistons are decent for their price.

Big 16g @ 32psi maxed out, conservative tune, 12.0/ 22* on e85, 16.0 cruising (I drive a lot of highway) Dynoe'd at Teds performance before they went out of business, I would post up my numbers in my profile and my graph, but.. Ive lost my digital/ hard copies of it, and they went out of business. (1-1/2 years ago dynoed, before I even had an account here)

IIRC, it was 455hp @ the crank. not whp. Didn't mean to get anyone too excited.

I am due for another dnyo though, this time ill get whp and im going to try to shoot the timing up a little bit.

I havent had knock once yet the way it is currently tuned, even on a 95* day, and im still on stock transmission which is nice.

Im not sure if the 16g is doing much for me now though, I have a Holset hx-40 here, just needs a BEP housing....So maybe my next dyno will be actually pushing this shortblock to its limits.
