Won't work. The flywheels are different size's. whoever told you this didn't know what they were talking about. They are the same strength.

This info is incorrect.

The AWD clutch would work in a FWD, and heres why.

Both the stock FWD and AWD clutches are the same part number, thus this means both are the same strength, and have the same pressure plate, friction disk, etc.

You are correct with the AWD and FWD fywheels being different, however this has nothing to do with the actual clutch disk and pressure plate. The difference is flywheels is on the outer area, not the surface area of the clucth friction disk.

So, no, the AWD OEM clutch is not any stronger than the FWD OEM clutch.

Any OEM or Aftermarket clutch, ACT, Clutchmasters, SBR, Centerforce, etc, will fit any turbo DSM 90-99 with the 4G63T, regardless of AWD or FWD.

Haven't you ever noticed that when you buy a new after market clutch, they don't ask if your car is AWD or FWD? Its because they all work on either.

Thanks for correcting me on that. I learned something today.
