Are all MAFs created equal?

Here's the deal...
I recently aquired a 1G NT for a great price, but it's missing the whole intake MAF and piping. So obviously I need to get a MAF for the car. From what I can tell there are 2 different MAFs, Turbo and Non-Turbo. My questions are:

1.) Has anyone ran a Turbo MAF in a Non-Turbo?

2.) Has anyone ran a Turbo or NT 2G MAF in a 1G Non-Turbo?

Well,
so far I have found out that the connectors on the 1g Turbo MAF and the 1g Non-Turbo MAF are different, they actually have a different number of wires, and won't fit unless you hard wire it some how. Just an update.
