Are adjustable cam gears for DSM and Evo the same?

I picked up a set of Fidanza cam gears. I was told by the seller that the cam gears for DSM and Evo are the same. On the cam gears I got, EVO is engraved in them and there are two locating holes in the middle. Every DSM cam gear I have seen has one locating hole. Does anybody know if the gears are interchangeable? I imagine the Evo gears will bolt on to DSM cams, but will the extra locating hole do anything bad in terms of unbalancing?

the reason for the hole marked with the evo sign is just for that, for use only in the evo. The unmarked hole is the one you have to use for your dsm to attach to your cams. It doesn't matter what cam gear you use in terms of order or anything like that they are both the same

I would like some input on this topic as well.

Some of the gears I see that are specifically for Evo's will only have (1) hole for the dowel pin on the cams. I would believe that these gears can only be used on an Evo 4-9, but would any cam gears that have two holes be able to used on 1G and 2G 4G63's? If so, which of the two holes would you use should the cam gears not be marked?

I don't know about other brands, but with Fidanza's you are SAFE. I have same gears on my car and when I initially bought them I had same concern.In other words they are the same for Evo and DSM.

Fidanzas can be used for both, there have both holes for dowel pins, the evo's are 90* offset from the DSM.

Anyone know which of the dowels is used for DSM's and which is used for Evo's in the event that the gears wouldn't be marked? Even if someone has pics of their car with the Fidanza's installed, it would help.

I would say that with the gear held so that the timing marks are at 3:00 and 9:00, the dowel pin hole should be at 12 noon.
