Are 4 bolt axles the same in auto and manual?

I bought a 5 speed awd. I jacked up the rear of the car and lone and behold it has a 4 bolt automatic rearend? Can i just swicth out the chunck and keep the axles? Will a 4 bolt manual rear end chunk swap in or will i need to buy the whole thing?

Yes, the 4-bolt axles will work on both auto and manual rear differentials. The gearing in the two are different, but the axles are the same.
