96 rear awd axles are they the same?

i have a 1996 eagle talonand i was wondering if the left and right rear axles are they the same? thanks mike

Depends on whether you have a rear LSD or not - non-LSD axles are identical to each other, LSD axles are different side to side.

what would be the easiest way to tell besides doing the switch ? cause my axle nut is welded on from whoever owned the car before me cause they stripped the threads and i dont want to have my car immobile. but i have a parts car with the dsr is good and my psr is bad so i need to switch them .

in my car there is a sticker in the drivers side door jam that says something like, "caution, this car is equipped with a limited slip differencial. by the vehical gross weight rating
